The Salinas Packaging group, a Spanish luxury packaging specialist, has bought the Arteos Digital factory that produces boxes and folders, aiming to extend its product range to satisfy growing demand.

The operation, whose value has not been disclosed, was finalised on January 31. Arteos is based in Torrejón de Ardoz, near Madrid, and its acquisition will bring to Salinas another 50 employees and a 3,000-square-metre production plant. The newly bought factory generates an annual revenue of €6 million.

In a press release, Salinas said it decided to buy the Arteos plant chiefly to satisfy “its clientèle’s demand for new products.” Salinas added that it plans to generate close to €50 million in revenue in fiscal 2024. To do so, it intends to broaden its product range and output capacity, and offer a wide selection of services to its client brands and retailers.

“By establishing a presence in Madrid, we have achieved another of our objectives. With our factories in Barcelona and Alicante, we now operate within a strategic triangle in terms of distribution, and we are able to offer a direct, localised service to national and international clients,” said Salinas.
