OKYO: Tokyo Governor KOIKE Yuriko appeared at the “Startup Ecosystem Summit 2024” to announce new information regarding “SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025” (STT2025) on the first anniversary of the opening of “Tokyo Innovation Base” (TIB).
The first speakers were announced for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025. In addition to representatives from leading Japanese companies, international speakers such as Audrey Tang, the former Digital Minister of Taiwan, have also been confirmed.
Other speakers will include HIGASHIHARA Toshiaki, Chairman of Hitachi, Tokyo University President FUJII Teruo,and KAMEZAWA Hironori, the President of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.
SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025 (Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo) aims to realize a sustainable city through advanced technology. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is directing efforts toward solving urban issues while promoting the appealing points of Tokyo.
SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025 will be held in May and will bring together a diverse range of participants, including startups, investors, large companies, cities and students from around the world.
Tokyo wants to develop special programs to attract venture capitalists from around the world to expand opportunities for business negotiations and investments.
Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) is a global hub that serves as a place where diverse players gather and interact. It has around 23,000 registered members. The support network for startups is expanding to large corporations and universities, and there are initiatives aimed at creating open innovation.
