Montreal-based, global e-commerce and content platform Ssense is celebrating its 20th-anniversary through the launch of Ssense XX.
The initiative introduces a collection of exclusive projects designed to unite culture, community, and commerce, with a focus on the integral figures – past, present, and future – who have helped shape the Ssense brand into what it is today.
“While many heritage brands use an anniversary to be retrospective, we’re using Ssense XX to look forward, by creating something new and special alongside our network of creatives who have played an influential role in shaping who we are today,” said Daniel Habashi, chief customer officer for Ssense.
“Through Ssense XX, we’re continuing to push the conversation around fashion, community and culture forward through product, content and experiences.”
As part of Ssense XX, the platform will unveil 20 limited-edition drops developed in collaboration with both emerging and established creatives. These highly-anticipated releases will be showcased on the interactive Ssense XX microsite, scheduled to launch between October 11 and November 7.
Among the lineup of creatives are names such as 032c, Acne Studios, Amiri, Curves by Sean Brown, ERL, Jil Sander, KNWLS, LỰU ĐẠN, Marine Serre, Martine Rose, New Balance, Niko June, Rick Owens, Salomon, S.R. Studio. LA. CA., The Elder Statesman, The North Face, Thom Browne, Wales Bonner, and Y/Project.
A physical representation of the celebration will take place at Ssense Montreal, the brand’s flagship store nestled at 418 St. Sulpice Street in Montreal’s historic Old Port district. In-store installations showcasing the exclusive drops will coincide with an interactive display covering the entire five-storey facade, serving as a dynamic canvas for projected content from October 11 to 25.
Lastly, fashion enthusiasts will have the chance to acquire exclusive Ssense XX merchandise, available in limited quantities starting October 23 on ssense.com and the Ssense mobile app.
