Narine is in lethal form as he scored 81 runs in 39 balls which helped KKR to score a mammoth total of 235 runs at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine lavished praise on spinner Varun Chakaravarthy for picking wickets in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. Narine also praised the support staff for backing the franchise in the tournament.
In the recently concluded match between KKR and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Varun picked three wickets which helped KKR to beat LSG by 98 runs.
“The most important thing is starting well and it’s good to have the backing of the support staff. I think you have to pick your strengths and pick your spots, sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s going very well, Varun is picking up wickets, it’s making my job easier to keep things tight. He is a hard worker and it’s good to see him do well. The boys are anxious and eager to play, so no matter what the situation is they are up for the challenge and they are contributing for us” said Narine in the post-match conference.
