Nat Barr is famous for her high-stakes interviews with political leaders, businessmen, and major cultural figures.
But on Thursday, Barr was heartbroken when talking to a young Melbourne couple, who lost all of their belongings in a brazen robbery in Fitzroy — including their photo albums.

Joanna Sinz and Archie Grant were saying their goodbyes to family on Tuesday afternoon, ahead of their move to Brisbane, when their car was broken into and $15,000 worth of their possessions taken.
The items included clothes, TV, laptop, iPads and even their childhood teddy bears.
On Thursday, Barr was visibly moved when Sinz told the Sunrise host their photo albums were among the thieves’ haul.
“Oh, they took your photos? I’m so sorry guys,” Barr said, clearly emotional for the pair.
“Do you think they (police) could find it through CCTV?” she added.
The couple said police had managed to locate the car, but everything was gone.
“(It was) completely empty, not even any photos or anything. That was a kick in the guts,” Grant said.
“Our knowledge is that they have caught someone. We’re hoping they give a bit more information on where they left the stuff …. we think they dumped it in country Victoria.”
Earlier in the interview, the couple explained how the robbery had unfolded.
“We were just walking around the streets of Fitzroy saying our goodbyes … we were just walking along the footpath and Jo noticed one of her bags on the ground.
“We thought ‘that is supposed to be locked in the car’. Then, we legged it to our first car that was parked and that had its window smashed in.
“Then a bike rider rode past us and said there are more people around the corner looking in cars.”
The couple raced over and tried to stop the robbery, as thieves took off with the pair’s black Subaru XV sedan .
“I grabbed him, and he was kicking at me, and I grabbed his feet,” Jo said.
“They were actually screaming at us to get out of our own car and we were saying, ‘get out of our car, please don’t, this is all of our stuff’.
“I managed to get his shoe off, not that that probably was much compared to what they took from us. It didn’t feel real at all, to be honest.”
