Swiss sportswear brand On opens flagship stores in Chicago and NYC

Swiss sportswear brand On is expanding its North American footprint with the opening of its first store in Chicago and its third in New York City. 

On’s newest and largest U.S. store, located in New York City’s Flatiron district, boasts 4,596 square feet of immersive retail space. Housed in a registered 1930s landmark building, the store blends original architectural elements like columns and moldings with modern, Swiss-inspired design features. Expansive windows offer prime visibility, while nature-inspired details inside reflect the urban landscape. The latest NYC store complements locations in SoHo and Williamsburg. 

Meanwhile, the Chicago flagship store, spans 4,553 square feet, and opened just in time for the Chicago Marathon. Located in the Rush Street district, the design pays homage to Chicago’s industrial heritage with an open gray ceiling, colorful walls, and wood accents inspired by the city’s iconic bridges.

Each location offers a full range of products, including running, outdoor, training, tennis, and lifestyle apparel and footwear, while their design reflect On’s approach to integrating technology and modern design with the distinct character of each city.

Moreover, both stores will host On’s popular weekly Run Club in addition to regular events, group runs and movement sessions with local partners and ambassadors.

On has more than doubled its number of U.S. stores in less than a year. The latest expansion follows the opening of On’s first Austin, TX store last month.
