Tata Nexon facelift’s rear design leaked! i20-like tail lights, new bumper and more

While it’s no secret that Tata Motors is working on introducing the second facelift for Nexon, the news is yet to be officially confirmed by the homegrown car manufacturer. That said, test mules continue to be spied on test revealing more and more details about the updated sub-4m SUV ahead of its rumoured launch on September 14. For the first time, an uncamouflaged prototype of the upcoming Nexon facelift has been spied, completely revealing the rear-end design of the SUV!

First and foremost, the new Nexongets a brand-new LED light setup that reminds us of the current-gen i20.

The tail light features greater than and lesser than symbols for the LED treatment, and are joined together with a red strip that might or might not light up. The tail lights surely help the Nexon look more mature than before, while the unpainted plastic portion on the rear bumper adds a bit of boldness too.
The prototype here is possibly an entry-level or a mid-level model, since no rear camera can be spotted, and the door handles also seem to be left unpainted. A previous Tata Nexon facelift prototype previously also revealed the front-end design, adorning an all-new front fascia. It got a split-headlamp design, similar to what is seen on other Tata SUVs like Harrier, Safari and Punch. The LED DRLs on top at the front were seen conjoined together with a black strip which also housed the Tata logo.

The interior is expected to be more premium than the outgoing model, sporting a new center console with touch-operated HVAC functions, along with a new gear shifter. The biggest addition will likely be the addition of a new flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel with a screen in the middle for an illuminated logo and touch-sensitive buttons.
