The saga surrounding the ‘JioHotstar’ domain name continues to take unexpected twists and turns. Well, according to the latest updates, the anonymous techie who previously demanded Rs 1,00,00,000 crore from Reliance for the domain has removed their message. And to a surprise, details of Jainam and Jivika – siblings from Dubai, UAE, on a mission to make a difference have been featured on the website https://jiohotstar.com/.

The statement reads, “Even though we’re just kids, we believe that age is only a number when it comes to spreading kindness and positivity. Our recent journey began during our summer holidays when we left our home in Dubai for 50 unforgettable days in India. We had a purpose: to connect with children from various backgrounds, share our love for learning, teach skills for studying and setting goals, and inspire them to dream big.”

JioHotstar domain name

Earlier this week, an anonymous app developer, hailing from Delhi, revealed that they purchased the JioHotstar domain name in 2023, prior to the expected merger between JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, two significant competitors in India’s streaming market. The developer believed that “JioHotstar” would likely be the name of the merged entity and offered to sell the domain to Reliance Industries, Jio’s parent company, for ₹1 crore, which they indicated was the amount needed for their dream course at Cambridge University.

Since “JioHotstar” is expected to be the name of the merged entity, the techie stated that they would sell the domain to Reliance Industries, the parent company of Jio, for Rs 1,00,00,000 crore—the amount they need for their dream course at Cambridge University.
