Telegram rolls out new update with several new features

Russia-based freemium messaging service Telegram Messenger is accessible across the globe. It competes with other rival platforms like WhatsApp and others. Just like other popular messaging apps, Telegram also keeps updating its messaging service with new features to improve user experience. The platform already supports important features like cross-platform connectivity, end-to-end encryption, video calling and cloud-based file storage and sharing. Now, the company has rolled out a new update that adds some important features to the messaging app. The latest update includes features like — translating entire chats, profile picture maker, emoji categories and more. Here are the details about the new features and how they will work:
Telegram new update: Translating entire chats
This feature will be available to Telegram premium users. With this feature, premium members can translate entire chats, groups and channels in real time. To translate entire chats, users have to tap the ‘Translate’ bar which will appear at the top of the screen. Telegram also allows non-premium users to translate messages. However, they have to translate individual messages by selecting them and tapping the “Translate” option.
Telegram new update: Profile photo maker
The profile photo maker feature enables users to turn any sticker or animated emoji into a profile picture with these accounts. These profile pictures can then be used for their accounts, groups or channels. This feature is not restricted to Telegram premium users and is available to all users.
Telegram new update: Emoji categories
Telegram has also added the “Emoji Categories” feature to its app. This feature helps users by sorting stickers and emojis into different categories. Telegram supports more than a million different types of stickers and emojis. However, choosing the right one before sending one can be a hectic task for the users.

Telegram new update: Network usage
The network usage feature let users see the amount of data that has been consumed by Telegram. The app will also offer detailed pie charts for Wi-fi and mobile data usage. Users can also alter their auto-download settings depending on their data plan.
Telegram new update: Auto-save incoming media
This feature helps users to control when media is saved automatically to their gallery based on its size, type and the chat it was received from. This feature will also enable users to save exactly what they want as it also supports exceptions.
Telegram new update: Other minor features
Apart from this, Telegram’s latest update has also introduced some other minor features like — granular media permissions, annual premium subscriptions, chat selection for bots, re-login with Apple and Google ID and new custom emojis.
