The Rugby Dress
I haven’t worn a rugby since the 1980s, but I’ve been thinking about them recently. It’s probably because of Dries Van Noten’s spring show; he put several on the runway, though they were nothing like the Benetton and Lands’ End versions I wore in high school. His website calls this a dress, but I’d wear it with wide-leg khakis.—Nicole Phelps, global director of Vogue Runway
The Lightweight Layer
Spring 2008 is the season that came out when I first moved to New York—it has a soft spot in my heart, especially Dries Van Noten’s collection. I remember ogling his remixed floral pieces at Bergdorf Goodman back then, and luckily for me, pieces from the collection are still findable—this silk, kimono-inspired jacket is so gorgeously assembled.—Lilah Ramzi, contributing editor
The Perfect Print and Pump
When I think of Dries Van Noten, the first things that come to mind are the brand’s splendid floral prints and signature curved heels. Keeping these in mind, I’m fawning over this delicate blouse adorned with poppies and this pair of party shoes that will bring a whole new level of glam to my summer wedding lineup. —Eliseé Browchuk, experiences production and marketing manager
The Best Bomber
Since Dries Van Noten was my first PR account as an intern, the playful accessories, whimsical prints, and carefully crafted collections will always hold a special place in my heart, even after his departure! Spring 2024’s collegiate-inspired collection may be one of my favorites, so there’s no surprise that the striped bomber and retro sneakers that Mai mentioned above are at the top of my list! —Ciarra Lorren Zatorski, fashion editor
The Pristine Patterns
It has always been—and will always be—about re-creating some of the layered floral looks from spring 2023. —Lucy Dolan-Zalaznick, senior associate of creative development
The Metallic Sneakers
The sneakers from the spring collection have been absolutely living in my mind rent-free for months. I saw this pair in silver leather and immediately fell in love, and in the hours after Dries announced he was stepping down, I seriously considered saying, “Screw it,” and just splurging. But cooler heads prevailed, and now my size is sold out, so perhaps it was not meant to be. But I can already tell they’ll remain the ones that got away. —Laia Garcia-Furtado, senior fashion news editor
The Playful Jacket
Do I need this scrolly padded jacket? Can it be considered a neutral? I desperately hope so! —C.M.
The Beauty Buys
When Dries has a beauty event, the team will send or let you carry home flowers that look sort of wild, like they’re cut right from DVN’s garden. Now I want all of the special little things they’ve introduced me to, like the pretty hand cream and the good green scent. (I’ve heard rumors that even designers with their own fragrance lines like it.) —Arden Fanning, beauty editor at large
