With an eternally chic cast—Emma Stone, Hunter Schafer, and Margaret Qualley among them—we always knew that the Kinds of Kindness premiere at the Cannes Film Festival would be a hearty serving of fashun. And, luckily for us, the stars did not disappoint!
Stone wore a tiered, sparkly burgundy dress with a plunging neckline from Louis Vuitton that paid homage to Lauren Hutton’s ’70s glamour. She paired the floor-sweeping dress with an art deco bracelet featuring large pink and orange stones.
Schafer, meanwhile, opted for cool tones. She donned a strapless, drop-waisted dress from Armani Privé made in an ultra-reflective light blue fabric, which she coordinated with matching pointy-toed heels and sapphire jewelry. The entire look was reminiscent of a modern Cinderella, á là Claire Danes and Zendaya’s 2016 and 2019 Met Gala looks, respectively. Hong Chau also opted for blue in a prim navy satin tea-length dress.
Qualley has remained a loyal fan of Virginie Viard’s Chanel, and this premiere was no exception. The actor wore a smocked drop-waisted baby pink number from the French House’s spring 2024 couture collection. Also looking fabulous was Kirsten Dunst, who wore a flowing, black bias-cut dress with sheer panel details and a black bow in her hair. She coordinated perfectly with her husband, Jesse Plemons, who appears in the film.
Plemons wasn’t the only Kinds of Kindness man to cut a dashing figure. Director Yorgos Lanthimos looked Riviera-ready with a printed ascot, while stars Mamoudou Athie, Joe Alwyn, and Willem Dafoe also opted for black suits.
If we do say so ourselves, the cast looked positively radiant at the premiere, and are only making us more eager to see their very mysterious film.
