Typically, any vehicle with four wheels and over 1,000 horsepower comes equipped with a roof standard. Engler, a small boutique manufacturer, decided to elevate quad bikes to a performance level comparable to supercars. The company’s latest creation will be fitted with a 1,200-hp V-12 engine.

BRAND NEW ENGLER IS OUT NOW-.4K

Engler stated it wanted to develop this new quad bike in the opposite direction from other manufacturers building supercars. A hybrid system was out of the question as the quad builder wanted to highlight “the pure, unadulterated power of the V12 engine.” Engler doesn’t list an estimated top speed or 0-to-60 times for its “super-quad.” However, anyone willing to climb onto the seat will ride a missile with only a helmet for protection. Viktor Engler, the company’s founder, said:

“I had a unique advantage over the others, which was I had no idea what I’m getting into. I was willing to sacrifice everything to make this happen.”

The company plans on mating the V-12 engine with its first in-house 8-speed gearbox. Engler claims the 66-pound transmission is the lightest gearbox in the world. The super quad is constructed around a carbon monocoque and only weighs 2,645 pounds. It’s also fitted with a 3D-printed titanium suspension.

I don’t know what the potential buyers will do with this Hayabusa-Huracán love child. People have done ridiculous things with all types of quads. However, just taking to the road on an Engler V12 is outlandish. Engler hasn’t revealed the price for the privilege to hurtle atop a 1,200-hp pavement rocket.
