Bose was born in Calcutta(Kolkata) in 1894. He attended Presidency College for an intermediate science course. He graduated from Presidency College in 1913 and earned his MSc. from Science College in 1915.
Renowned scientist Albert Einstein did not have a solution to a problem in Physics. He was in dismay with a question of Quantum Physics for years.
In June 1924, Indian theoretical physicist and Mathematician Satyendra Nath Bose had solved the problem and had surprised the eminent scientist. At the time when he got the solution from Bose, Einstein was working with Berlin University.
Einstein took observations of Bose and included them in his work. The duo worked together on a theory which was known as Bose-Einstein condensate. Though their together stint was short, their work emerged as a great theory in the history of Physics.
Historian Somaditya Banerjee was of the view that their work had reflected the nature of quantum.
Satyendra Nath Bose was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 1954 by the government of India.
