As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who added $42.8 billion to his wealth so far this year, is the second richest person in the world, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is ranked 16th with a net worth of $101 billion, and Gautam Adani occupies the 18th place with $94.4 billion.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has added a whopping $10.7 billion (around Rs 9,00,23,23,77,970), to his already vast fortune this week, taking his net worth to a gargantuan $220 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Bezos emerged as biggest gainer as the Amazon’s shares soared by 6.19% on the last day of trading, even as the net worth of six of the world’s 10 richest people in the world, slumped on Friday.
As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bezos, who added $42.8 billion to his wealth so far this year, is the second richest person in the world, behind SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, whose net worth is pegged at a whopping $262 billion. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, are the only three members of the super-exclusive $200 billion club.
World’s richest
On Friday, Musk, who founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, witnessed a slight dip in his fortune, losing a ‘marginal’ $562 million. However, Elon Musk, who has added $33 billion to his wealth this year, remains the richest person in the world with a net worth of $262 billion, followed by Jeff Bezos with $220 billion, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, with a net worth of $201 billion, in the 3rd place.
Zuckerberg had added a massive $72.7 billion to his fortune this year. Larry Ellison ($182 billion) is ranked fourth, while Bernard Arnault ($177 billion) is in the fifth place on the world’s richest list.
The sixth spot is occupied by Microsoft founder Bill Gates ($157 billion, Google co-founder Larry Page and Sergey Brin, are ranked seventh and eighth on the list with a net worth of $154 billion and $145 billion, respectively. Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer ($143 billion) is at ninth place and Warren Buffet ($143 billion) is at tenth place.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is at 11th place with a net worth of $118 billion, while Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is at 16th place with $101 billion and Gautam Adani occupies the 18th place with $94.4 billion.
