I’ve almost cut out alcohol, my awareness has sharpened, I’ve stuck to a routine for over 10 months, and my mindset has shifted to one of abundance and gratitude. I sleep better, my PCOS is gone, and I’ve trained 4-5 times a week for 4 years. I’m mindful about my food and my choices.”

In another of her Instagram post, she divulged into the details of how her takeaways from her weight loss journey.

  • Set Goals, Always: Without clear goals, progress becomes elusive. There should always be something to work toward—whether it’s physical strength, mental resilience, or personal growth
  • Consistency Isn’t Just About Training: I gave myself way too much credit just because I was consistent with training. NO! Your diet and sleep have a larger role to play! be equally consistent with that
  • Don’t Tie Food to Emotions: One of my biggest revelations was how often I rewarded or comforted myself with food. But food’s primary purpose is to fuel the body, not serve as a tool for celebration or coping with setbacks – fix that mindset
  • It’s All in the Mind: Whether it’s pushing through a tough workout or adopting new habits, most of the battle is mental. Once you conquer your mind and remove limiting beliefs, the impossible becomes possible
  • Surround Yourself with the Right People: The journey to better health is heavily influenced by your environment. Supportive, encouraging people make all the difference—anything less will hinder your growth
  • More Isn’t Always Better: Overtraining is not a sustainable solution. In fact, it can lead to burnout, injury, and setbacks. Balance is key—take care of your body holistically, including proper rest, nutrition, and mental well-being

“How much time can you chase the number on the scale? I spent 2 years trying to lose a 5kg target because of inconsistency. How pointless? Life is a lot more than just achieving weight targets. Had I been a little more disciplined with my diet, I would have gone to the next phase of my transformation sooner…,” read Phulwani’s post
