An Australian top model has shared her daily beauty routine and why she swears by a red lipstick for everyday colour and hydration.
Georgina Burke, 33, might still call Australia home but she’s currently pursuing her dreams in New York City, represented by top agency IMG.
She’s been getting her face “made up” professionally for more than 13 years and has learnt a thing or two about proper skincare and makeup application.

“Most important to me is accentuating my skin. I love skin to be skin, so I try to keep it simple,” Georgina tells 7Life.
“I tend to use a really beautiful bronzer to highlight my face and my skin’s glow, particularly after I apply my morning serum. This and a touch of mascara really goes a long way.”
Georgina has been adding more colour to her everyday look of late, particularly as the warm weather rolls on in the northern hemisphere, and turning to the Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick ($59) to brighten up her pout.
“Not only is it radiant, bold and long-lasting, but there are 32 shades to choose from which makes it so versatile for day to night wear,” she says.
“It’s really important to me to wear makeup that doesn’t damage or dehydrate my skin. The new lipsticks are formulated to protect against dehydration by combining plant extracts that nourish and repair. I love the inclusion of organic camelia oil and organic apricot oil – these lipsticks are just so nourishing on my lips day-to-day.”
Before applying makeup Georgina uses a light face wash to cleanse her skin of a morning with cold water, followed by an ice wand to calm her skin.
“Because I suffer from rosacea, I find this pre-skincare approach the most effective to reduce redness,” she says.
Each morning she applies a serum underneath her moisturiser to protect the skin and inject hydration before finishing off with a slather of sunscreen on the face, neck and chest.
“At night I make sure to never sleep in my makeup. I always double cleanse and use a product that isn’t too stripping. Before bed, I use an LED mask for 10 minutes to help combat redness and inflammation.”
When it comes to moving her body Georgina uses her new Oura ring to help her keep on top of it.
“I try to not let a day go past without doing 10,000 steps,” she says.
“My Australian neighbour has also been taking me to the workout called The Class. Because it’s also available online, I can do it anywhere in the world when I travel which is so convenient. It’s not only a physical workout, but a lot of breathwork and release.
“This too has really supported not only my physical health, but also my mental health which is really important.”
When she is home in NYC the focus is on top quality nutrition and as much physical activity as possible.
She enjoys lymphatic massage coupled with using a Higher Dose sweat blanket – much like a sauna you can take with you anywhere – as well as a good probiotic, hydration packet and compression socks.
“All these tips I learned after taking 100+ flights a year (pre-pandemic). Everyone should find a routine that works for them though,” she adds.
