Lindsay Silberman’s first tip is to bring a bag within a bag.

She explained that she likes to pack a duffel as her personal carry-on item and then keep a pouch inside of it with everything that she needs for on-board.

“This is so you don’t have to keep digging back into your bag anytime you need something,” she said.

You’ll want to keep items such as lip balm, breath mints, makeup wipes, floss, an asthma puffer and anything you to which you need easy access in this pouch.

Next up on her list is compression socks.

Lindsay said that if you’re doing a long-haul flight, and you’re not using compression socks, then “you’re doing it wrong”.

“Personally, I am not into the cankle aesthetic and that’s why I love compression socks,” explained the seasoned traveller.

The travel expert also suggested taking electrolyte packets.

“I do not enjoy peeing every five seconds on a long-haul flight, and that’s why I always bring these electrolyte packets. They help to keep me hydrated without having to drink a gallon of water,” she said.

Lindsay also recommends always using “a nice sheet mask and a lip mask” to keep your skin hydrated.

Lastly, she tells travellers to invest in a good pair of noise cancelling headphones and said “they will change your life”.

Her video has garnered more than five million views and people in the comments were very impressed with her hacks.

“I love the electrolyte hack, thanks,” said one.

“Compression socks are such a great idea,” added another.

“So smart, love these tips,” said a third.
