TVS X: Platform and Design
The TVS X is built on TVS’ XLETON platform and gets maxi-scooter design language and it also gets a unique split seat setup. The scooter takes inspiration from Creon which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.
It gets vertically stacked LED headlights and it also gets LED taillights with LED indicators. The scooter X doesn’t get a floorboard and instead, the spine of the frame takes up that space. The X has a seat height of 770mm and it has an under-seat storage capacity of 19 litres.
TVS X: Features
The TVS X electric scooter gets multiple segment first features. It gets an adjustable 10.25-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and music playback when stationary the scooter can also play videos and games. Other features include cruise control, hill hold assist, reverse assist, ride modes, single-channel ABS and keyless ride.
TVS X: Electric motor, battery, charging and range
The TVS X gets a 4.4 kWh battery pack paired with a PMSM electric motor rated for 11kW of peak power (7kW of continuous power) and 40Nm of peak torque. The TVS X has an IDC-claimed range of 140 Km on one full charge.

The battery pack can be charged with the Smart X Home rapid charger from 0-50 per cent in 50 minutes, an optional add-on 3kW fast charger or by using the 950W portable charger which can charge from 0-80 per cent in 4.3 hours. The portable charger costs Rs 16,275 extra.
TVS X: Performance, suspension, tyres and braking
TVS claims that the X can sprint from 0-40 kph in 2.6 seconds and 0-60 kph in 4.5 seconds. The e-scooter has claimed a top speed of 105 kph and it also gets Xtealth, Xtride, and Xonic ride modes which alter the performance and range.
The X features a telescopic front suspension with a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is taken care of by a 220mm disc up front and a 195mm disc at the rear. The scooter gets 12-inch alloys with 100-section tyres at the front and 110 sections at the rear.
TVS X: Price and Rivals
The TVS X is priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes the TVS X the most expensive electric scooter in India currently right now. TVS is also offering the first 2000 customers a Smartwatch and a ‘Curated Concierge’ package free, worth Rs 18,000. The TVS X will compete with the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 and Ather 450 X.
