Tetsuro Taira’s climb up the flyweight ladder has been something to behold. Since joining UFC in 2022, he’s gone undefeated, lifting the 24-year-old’s pro MMA record to a glistening 15-0 and well on his way to a shot at the belt.
Standing in his way is former top contender Alex Perez who made a similar impressive rise up the ladder a few years ago. However, the 32-year-old fell back down to earth following his title fight loss to Deiveson Figueiredo, losing his next two fights before taking down Matheus Nicolau earlier this year. Could a redemption story be in the cards?
Also on the card is the co-main event bantamweight bout between octagon veteran Douglas Silva de Andrade and the promising Miles “Chapo” Johns.
