UP Police Constable Exam Begins With Strict Security Amid Paper Leak Controversy

The UP Constable Civil Police Direct Recruitment Examination 2023, originally held on February 17 and 18 at 2,385 centers across all 75 districts, was cancelled in February due to reports of a paper leak.

UP Constable Exam 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board(UPPRPB) is all set to commence the UP Constable Civil Police Direct Recruitment Examination 2023, from today, August 23, 2024. The exam will take place over five days: August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024. The examination will be held at nearly 67 exam centres across the state in two shifts. The first shifts will commence from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Meanwhile, the second shift will begin from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Over 40 lakh candidates are likely to appear for the competitive examination.

The Uttar Pradesh police have made extensive security and support measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the police recruitment examination.

While speaking to news agency ANI, DCP Central Lucknow Raveena Tyagi said, “Around 80,000 aspirants across 81 centres will take the exam in Lucknow district. There are arrangements for checking and frisking aspirants. CCTV monitoring is being done at all exam centres. Police arrangements are done at all major bus stands, railway stations and metro stations. Several holding areas across the city are made for aspirants. The facility of city buses and inter-district buses is available. Smart City Control and drones being used for surveillance.”

  • How can we get the Free travel pass for the examination? The admit card will be Valid as a UP State Transport Corporation Bus Ticket along with Photo Identity Proof (Please keep 2 extra copy of the admit card for both side travel)
  • What is the reporting time at the exam Centre? For Shift – 01: 08:00 AM to 09:30 AM  For Shift – 02: 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM Those candidates who have not submitted their Aadhaar Card details at the time of application form filling must report at 8.00 AM for e-KYC.
  • What is the latest time for entry into the exam Centre? 09:30 AM for the Shift-01 & 02:30 PM for Shift-02 No entry will be allowed after the last reporting time of the shift
  • What are the different Govt. IDs allowed for the examination? Aadhaar Card (with Complete 12 digit Aadhaar Number). Those candidates who have not provided Aadhaar details at the time of registration, must bring Valid Govt. ID like EAadhaar, Passport, Driving License along with Aadhaar Card.
