Victoria’s Secret Show Returns, date set for October 15 in New York

After a five-year absence, Victoria’s Secret angels are returning to the runway, and New York City subway cards are turning pink. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority of the Big Apple has announced that it will issue 50,000 commemorative metrocards available at select stations starting October 10.

The iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will take place on October 15 in New York and, for the first time, will be visible worldwide on social media. It will also be broadcast on the Amazon Live channel at 6:30 PM local time.

The grand return will feature historic models and angels such as Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, and Taylor Hill. “It’s crazy to be back on the Victoria’s Secret runway,” Banks said in a video shared by the American lingerie brand, “I mean, absolutely crazy.”

In 2019, after various controversies, especially regarding the physicality cult of its models, the annual show was canceled. Victoria’s Secret announced the return last May and promised that “the show will reflect who we are today, beyond the glamour, wings, runway, music, and spectacle.”
