The Volvo EM90 electric MPV is expected to share several features and drivetrain components with Geely’s Zeekr 009 MPV but there’s no official confirmation. The Geely’s Zeekr 009 MPV is also based on the automaker’s born electric platform. The teased image only shows the top and rear angle of the MPV.
The EM90 gets dual sunroofs, a raked windscreen, and an upright tailgate with LED taillamps. At the front, it is expected to look similar to the EX90 with a closed-off grille and sleek LED headlights with DRLs.
Inside it’s expected to get a six-seat layout with two independent seats in the middle row. It’s also expected to get environmentally friendly materials inside the cabin. Other expected features include a vertically stacked infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, multi-zone climate control, ventilated seats, adaptive LED lighting, ADAS, multiple airbags, sliding doors and many more.

As mentioned previously, the Volvo EM 90 could share drivetrain components with the Geely’s Zeekr 009 MPV. The 009 gets a 140kWh battery paired with twin electric motors which puts out 543hp of power and has a claimed range of 817 Km in one full charge. Despite weighing almost three tonnes the MPV sprints from 0-100 kph in 4.5 seconds.
In other news, Volvo will launch the C40 Recharge electric coupe SUV in India on September 4th 2023. The C40 Recharge gets a 78kWh battery pack paired with twin electric motors which puts out 408 PS of power. The EV has a claimed range of 530 km on one full charge. The C40 Recharge supports up to 150kW DC fast charging which can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 27 minutes.
