A national recall has been issued on a popular brand of dairy-free snacks because the bite-sized product is potentially contaminated with milk.
Byron Bay Superfoods has issued an alert for two flavours of its Wallaby Cookie Dough Bites: double chocolate hazelnut and chocolate macadamia.
The products have been available at Woolworths nationally and at independent health food retailers in South Australia and NSW.

Cookie Dough Bites with a best-before date of September 21, 2024 are potentially impacted.
“The recall is due to a potential dairy (milk) allergen contamination,” a Food Standards Australia New Zealand alert warned shoppers.
“Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.”
Customers can return the snacks to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The product is marketed online as vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free, and is described as the “perfect little keto snack”.
Whole milk is also excluded from a keto diet.
