By this point, it’d be hard to blame Celtics fans like Bill Simmons for quivering in fear anytime the Warriors come up on their schedule with a healthy Steph Curry.

After the game, Simmons called the game “the new dumbest loss of the Celtics season” in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, and lambasted his favorite team for not attacking the Warriors inside.

“58 threes and 17 free throws against a team playing small ball. Just so stupid,” Simmons posted. “Curry had five fouls for at least an hour, never attacked him. I’m not even gonna look at the short chart because it will make me puke.”

Four minutes later, Simmons posted a screenshot of the fourth quarter shot chart, saying, “I mean come on…” It is unclear if Simmons puked in the 240 seconds in between his two posts.

The Warriors trailed by as much as 17 points on Tuesday, in part because Curry picked up five fouls by the midway point of the third quarter. But Curry played the entire fourth quarter on the razor’s edge of fouling out and was able to still score 33 points on 11-of-21 shooting (6-of-11 from 3-point range) to help the Warriors come back and force overtime.
