7NEWS reports Gaff’s guests, which included teammates Elliot Yeo and Jack Darling and former Eagles premiership player Scott Lycett, were forced to evacuate.
“We were just at a wedding and the police came and said we’ve got to leave, there is a fire over the hill,” one guest said.
The father of the bride was spotted carrying the wedding cake from the Quarry Amphitheatre.
The fire is believed to have been sparked by squatters in parkland.
Up to 50 firefighters helped bring the emergency under control on Monday and authorities have since strengthened containment lines.
A bushfire advice remains in place and “there is no threat to lives or homes”.
However, authorities urged residents to stay aware and keep up to date with emergency warnings in case the situation changes.
Bold Park remains closed to vehicles and pedestrians.
