As we wind down 2023 and head into the fourth year of a decade that has had a rough start, its good to know we have some pretty good cars coming in the next year or two that we can look forward to.
EVs of course are always going to be at the forefront of everyone’s attention as automakers and public officials continue to try and get the public to embrace electric adoption. But gas engines are going to be around for a while, with several automakers still making gas-powered models going well into the middle of the decade.
One car I’m looking forward to seeing is the next generation of whatever Dodge is going to call their Charger/Challenger follow up. Aside from getting a preview of the thing with last year’s Charger Daytona concept, there are just so many questions surrounding the car and Dodge hasn’t said anything. The brand’s absence at this year’s L.A. Auto Show has me hoping that they’ll show something in Chicago in February.
Dodge talked up an EV future with the Charger Daytona, but recent reports say that the next generation of the car will come in both electric and gas versions. Will it be a coupe? A sedan? Coupe and sedan? Who knows, and that’s why I’m looking forward to it. It could be something unexpected that throws everyone for a loop.
So now we ask, you dear Jalopnik reader, what new cars are you most looking forward to? They can be anything from stuff that we know is coming or even things you hope to see in the next few years. Let us know in the comments.
