NTAs: Peaky Blinders team confirm update on feature film

Netflix’s forthcoming Peaky Blinders film is already creating a stir, riding on the coattails of the original BBC series’ outstanding reputation.

Peaky Blinders, which aired for six seasons on the BBC from 2013 to 2022, chronicles the notorious activities of a renowned Birmingham crime gang in the immediate aftermath of the First World War.

The drama draws loose inspiration from a real family-led gang that perpetrated crimes in the English city from the 1880s to the 1920s.

Now, a film adaptation is in the pipeline, with Cillian Murphy poised to reprise his memorable role as gangster Tommy Shelby.
