Off-roading is more popular than ever. With high-riding SUVs becoming more and more mainstream, Safari-esque sports cars from the factory and a huge aftermarket for getting your vehicle off-road-ready, you can tell that just about everyone is into driving off the beaten path. That’s what led me to today’s question.

I want to know what you think the best off-roader of all time is. What car would you take on your next big adventure where roads are optional? You’ve obviously got about a billion things to choose from. You can go with the lifted-from-the-factory route with things like the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, Ford Bronco Raptor and Ram 1500 TRX. You can opt for home-built stuff to make your off-roader exactly how you want it. You can also pick from the new crop of off-road-focused sports cars like the Porsche 911 Dakar or the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. If you’re an annoying weirdo, you can even say some sort of dual sport bike.

It also – of course – doesn’t have to be a new car. Stuff like the original Willys Jeep, Hummer H1 and old Toyota Land Cruisers are more than welcome. It’s whatever you’re feeling, man. Don’t let me put you in a box.
