What’s The Worst Used Car Deal You Can Find?

Yesterday, we found a listing for a 2011 Ford Focus that’s easily one of the worst cars sold by a dealer that we’ve seen in recent memory. It’s beyond rusty. The interior is gross. Everything about it screams, “Just send this thing to a wholesale auction,” but instead, the dealer decided to list it for nearly $6,000. When we asked the dealer why they didn’t auction it, they claimed it’s because the car is mechanically sound. They could’ve at least vacuumed out the interior before selling it, but oh well.

You can certainly find cars in worse condition on sites such as Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, but as we previously mentioned, cars that look this rough usually get wholesaled instead of being dumped on the lot to serve as a raccoon motel until some desperate schmuck shows up and eventually buys it. The question is, is it the worst used car deal right now? $6,000 for a car with that much rust sure is a lot, but there’s always something worse out there. Always.

That’s where you come in. We want to know what the worst used car deal that you can find is. Ideally, it would be a car that looks even worse than the one that inspired this QOTD, but if you can find a $40,000 PT Cruiser, we’ll take it. Preferably, it wouldn’t be a Marketplace listing from a seller who thinks their Corvette is more special than it really is, but if it’s an interesting delusional seller, screw it. Why not?

In order to make this work, though, please screenshot the listing and provide a link so I can find photos for AOTD and also as insurance in case the listing gets taken offline between the time you comment and I get around to putting together the slideshow. So whatcha got? Let’s see some terrible deals.
