Who is Farhad Shakeri?
Farhad Shakeri arrived in the United States at a young age. The FBI has not disclosed the year of his arrival or his place of origin. According to the indictment, he met his co-conspirators in prison. The indictment also states that Shakeri was incarcerated in multiple jails in connection with his 1994 robbery conviction.
He was transferred to a Beacon facility in 2005, where authorities claimed he first encountered Riviera. He remained in jail until 2008, when he was deported from the United States.
