NEET-UG Paper Leak Mastermind: The students in India, especially those pursuing medicine have been facing a lot of turmoil lately; there has been a paper leak scandal days after the NEET UG 2024 Examination was held and the NEET PG 2024 Examination was postponed a day before the exam date. The UGC NET was also cancelled a day after it was held because the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been under the scanner amid the paper leak controversy. Up till now, a total of thirteen people have been arrested in the NEET UG Paper Leak Case and their confessions are also being recorded. Amid the ongoing investigation, meet Sanjeev Mukhiya, the alleged mastermind of the paper leak controversy, whose wife is into politics and his son, despite being a doctor, is behind the bars.
Who Is Sanjeev ‘Mukhiya’, NEET UG Paper Leak Mastermind
As mentioned earlier, latest reports suggest that Sanjeev Singh aka Sanjeev ‘Mukhiya’ is the mastermind of the NEET UG Paper Leak controversy. According to a News18 report, Sanjeev Singh’s wife, Mamta Devi was elected as the ‘mukhiya’ of Bhuthakhar Panchayat and since then, Sanjeev too has been addressed as ‘Mukhiya’ by the people of the village. The News18 report quotes one of its source as, “It was Sanjeev who had arranged the NEET UG question paper and had handed it over to some ‘Rocky’ who is still at large.”
A resident of Nagarsauna, Nalanda district in Bihar, Sanjeev ‘Mukhiya’ was formerly working at Sabour Agricultural College where he was implicated in a paper leak scandal; he wad then transferred to the Noorsarai branch of Nalanda College. He was also arrested for the same in the year 2016, by the Uttarakhand Police.
NEET UG Paper Leak Mastermind’s Wife In Politics, Son In Jail
The report also suggests that Sanjeev Singh’s wife, Mamta Devi is quite active in politics and had also contested the Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 on a Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJNSP) ticket, from Harnaut seat. However, she did not win and ended up being the first runner-up. While Sanjeev Singh’s wife is a politician, his son is a doctor but he too is behind the bars. The alleged mastermind’s son is in jail for his involvement in a case related to Bihar Teacher Recruitment Exam Paper Leak. It is believed that he, along with his father has been involved in many exam frauds.
Ever since his name has come up in the NEET UG Paper Leak Case, he has not been seen anywhere and during the investigation, his name has come up multiple times. His absence has also been confirmed by the administration of the Nalanda College. While Sanjeev Singh may not be seen anywhere, through his lawyer, he has denied any involvement in the scam.
