Perhaps it was looking for some “koala-ty” sleep, or it was an ambassador from certain mattress company checking out the competition.
An Adelaide couple got the shock of their lives when they found a koala in their bed.

The late-night intruder got in through the dog door and was quick to make itself at home.
Video captured by the Rosslyn Park locals showed their new furry friend clawing its way through a nightstand and getting comfortable in their bed.
International students Fran and Bruno Dias Rufino found the wild animal when they returned home from work just after 12am.
Bruno said he was initially unsure what to do.
“Do I pick him up, do I call someone, call the police? I don’t know,” he told 7NEWS.
Fran said she was overwhelmed, wanting to pat and adopt the koala.
It became aggressive when Bruno tried to pick it up, but they eventually managed to guide their visitor safely out the back door while on the phone to animal rescue.
The couple, from Brazil, said they are fascinated by Australia’s native wildlife but did not expect such a close encounter.
“I love koalas. I think they are so cute. I have a lot of koalas in my house. I held one in my arms but I never expected to find one in my bed,” Fran said.
The pair have been in Australia for two years and joked that in their eyes they have already passed Australia’s citizenship test.
It is not the first time a curious koala has wandered into a home in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs.
A Wattle Park family heard a strange tapping at their back door.
They thought the marsupial, which they named Audrey, was after a drink of water.
But she turned her nose up at it and instead headed for the liquor cabinet.
“Our reaction initially was that it must have been a pretty smart (koala) … going straight for our beers,” Liam O’Mahoney said.
“It decided to hang around on the couch watching telly with us.”
She was ushered out the back door after an hour-long stay and quickly raced up a tree.
