A love triangle is allegedly behind a dangerous car chase across Sydney’s southwest on Monday night.
NSW Police were told a 37-year-old woman was driving a black Mercedes SUV in Earlwood when she was allegedly followed by another woman, aged 31, driving a black Lexus sedan about 10.30pm on Monday.

Unaware she was being followed, the 37-year-old driver pulled over to check a text message in Campsie when she was approached by the 31-year-old woman who allegedly attempted to gain entry to her car and struck the window.
The 37-year-old woman drove away while the 31-year-old woman allegedly followed before cutting a corner, ploughing into the gutter and losing control of the car on Hamilton Avenue, Earlwood.
She was then taken to St George Hospital for assessment.
“She was telling us she was trying to get the mistress. ‘It was my husband’s mistress,’ she kept saying,” resident Matina Psaradakis told 7NEWS. It’s a claim police dispute.
Detectives allege the woman and her husband recently separated after eight years of marriage while the older woman was her estranged husband’s new girlfriend.
The man at the centre of this love triangle stopped at the scene. It’s understood he owns both of the cars involved.
The 37-year-old woman — who was uninjured — later attended Kogarah Police Station where she reported the alleged incident to officers a short time later.
Upon her release from hospital, the 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station where she was charged with predatory driving and stalking/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).
She was refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday.
