Woman found tied to tree in Monterey County remains a mystery – The Mercury News

PEBBLE BEACH – The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office announced they have not found any leads in the incident regarding a woman who was reportedly tied to a tree.

“At this time investigators assigned to this case have been unable to corroborate the victim’s description of the events leading to the discovery of her being tied to a tree in Pebble Beach, nor have the investigators been able to develop any further leads in the case,” the press statement read.

A woman in her 40s said she was tied to a tree at gunpoint while walking on a wooded trail located in the woods between Haul Road and Holman Highway around 7:30 a.m. Dec. 4.

The victim described the male as a Hispanic adult male in his 30s wearing a green hat and grey sweater. He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck with a word that begins with the letter ‘Z.’
