According to Simrun, here are few tips that helped her start the routine at home.

  1. Increase calories burnt to at least 2500 calories a day. Aim for minimum 15000 steps as this will burn about 500-700 calories
  2. Using BMI or smartwatch, one can calculate the calorie count to maintain a healthy calorie deficit too. Simrun’s video has a detailed calculation for the calories.
  3. Build consistency: Yes, this isn’t something we are born with. You build it. Start with setting a time for exercise. This is important to create a routine. Start with 10 mins and when you do that consistently for a few days, take it up to 15 mins then more. Else aim for at least 3 days of 30 mins and 3 days of walking outdoors.
  4. Aim to lose 1 kg. Not 10: Many of us get intimidated when we think 10, 20, or 50 kgs. Just focus on 1 kg, then the next 1, then the next 1.
Start here. Remember, the fastest to lose 10 kgs and KEEP It off is about 3 months.

“If you have a hormonal imbalance, thyroid, PCOS, health issues, then please work with a professional. Nutrition is a science like going to a doctor,” her caption reads.

Every weight loss is unique to the individual because it is based on the changing narrative of their body. What works for one, necessarily won’t be the best alternative for another. Therefore, it is always advised to consult a professional to have a dedicated routine charted out. It is important to be aware of your own too.
