Wireless bras are a perfect choice for women who are choosing comfort over style these days. Evelyn & Bobbie has developed an ergonomic bra without wires that claims to give enough support for a subtle lift. Enter: the Defy bra. Offering seam-free comfort, it certainly won’t dig into the skin.
The Defy bra and similar styles, such as the Starlette Plunge bra, the Evelyn bra and the latest Structured Scooped Bra, have piqued shoppers’ interests and many said they “will never wear any other bra again”.
But the bras don’t come cheap, with the Defy costing £95. It is made for low-impact workouts and gives full coverage, as well as preventing shoulder and neck pain thanks to the patented EB technology that offers 360-degree hold, helping to redistribute weight from the shoulder muscles to the core muscles.
Key in your usual bra size and the size calculator will tell you which size to go for as it runs from small to 3XL. The patented EB Core sling technology gives a natural lift that one shopper said: “As a very mature woman with large saggy boobs, this bra makes them perky!”
Another was pleased with the high-quality fabric and said the bra “is still in shape after weekly washing“. The four-way stretch fabric is described as “second skin” as it adapts to the body shape without losing support, plus it’s invisbile under clothing. Evelyn & Bobbie shared a video to explain ways to stretch the bra for a better fit.
“I’m not only big-breasted but they’re quite dense and heavy. At 60 years old, I’ve ditched all my underwire and minimizing bras. The little bit of lift and reduction they give isn’t worth the discomfort, so I’ve been wearing bralettes and sports bras. These bras are something else,” a five-star review added.
Other than the fan-favourite Defy Bra, Evelyn & Bobbie has launched a new bra built in a tank top – the Structured Scoop Bra Tank. Also priced at £95 apiece, the tank top has left shoppers equally impressed.
People found the tank top “as comfortable as a bra” and “looks great under anything”. A shopper jumped on the “lingerie as outerwear” trend and shared: “I love wearing these tanks under a blazer or a sheer blouse, and they look beautiful tucked into my pants or skirt.”
Another appreciated the “no tugging” feature and agreed that it stays in place all day long like a second skin. But some were disappointed that it “was not tighter by the stomach area”.
For casual tank tops, Amazon’s Vislivin Tank Tops come with built-in bras and can easily be disguised as a loose-fit camisole. They are £22.99 each. Intimissimi’s Vacanze Italiane Lara Triangle Bra, now £29.50, offers intricate lace details, which gives a sense of sensuality.
