It’d be hard for anyone to mix up the careers of future Hall of Famer Tom Brady and current 49ers practice squad tight end Jake Tonges. Mixing up their respective photos, however, is a different story.

Katie Tonges, the tight end’s sister, shared on TikTok on Monday that her mom had mistakenly received a photo of Brady and his children in a CVS order of printed photos instead of photos of her own family. The post’s caption read, “We can do a trade if you have our photo…??”

The post itself featured a slideshow of three images. The first picture was of Jake, Katie and two others. The second was of the former Patriot, and Bay Area native, with his kids at New England’s season opener — Brady posted that very same photo on Instagram earlier this year

The third was a screenshot of a text message that appeared to be written by Jake and Katie’s father: “Mom sent in a picture of you kids to CVS to give grandma for Christmas. We just received them today and instead of you guys we get Tom Brady and his kids,” the message reads, followed by a series of laughing emojis.

Even better is that the print may have been intended for Brady’s mom, according to the former quarterback’s own TikTok account. Brady’s account commented on the post, “My mom must have been printing some photos out in San Francisco.”

Tonges replied, “Next time you’re in town we can do a photo swap!”

While the Tonges family might be missing a photo, the silver lining for Jake, the 24-year-old former Cal Golden Bear, is that there seems to be one person who thinks he’s comparable to Tom Brady. Even if that person is an absentminded photo developer.
