WWD’s Dream Resort 2024 Wardrobe – WWD

Welcome back to WWD’s series Add to Cart.

Here, WWD has done an edit of the best of the best, holiday getaway wardrobe-worthy women’s ready-to-wear and accessory essentials for the resort 2024 season.

For shoppers traveling to Miami for December’s annual Art Basel fair, the women’s resort collections offer plenty of warm-weather styles for breaks at the beach, and festive dressing for the art-and-fashion-minded events.

Designers leaned into the cheeky getaway aspect of resort dressing with tropical accents, as seen in the form of shimmering palm tree statement earrings from No.21; bright colors, a la Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera’s playful striped knit cardigans and shorts (paired with a polka dot sun hat and pumps), and surf-minded layers (and literal surfboards as accessories) from the Gucci Cruise collection.

In addition, Chanel’s resort lineup was filled with swimwear, warm-weather accessories and playful takes on its logo, as seen in resort’s technicolor matching set and jacket, worn over a gold bikini, with ombre bucket hat and colorful baubles. Ditto to the resort Versace lineup, which prominently features its logo across bikinis and beach towel-inspired ensembles.

For those looking to dress up, Catherine Holstein’s resort Khaite collection continues to provide chic, elevated, feminine dress in the form of romantic-meets-edgy fluid dresses, while Gabriela Hearst proposes artisanal crochet accents to sophisticated knit slip dressing. In addition, the resort collections from Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney lean into the ongoing sheer trend while Dior offers up simplistic, breezy white layers for daytime polish.

To round out the dream resort wardrobe, see resort’s brightly hued accessories, like Isabel Marant’s bold green sportif sunglasses, or Loewe’s orange tote bag — perfect for carrying from beach to street.
