Your Hong Kong weekend guide: from November 8-10, 5 of the best things to do, eat and see

Another week and another typhoon skirts past Hong Kong – though Yinxing is not likely to pose much of a threat. Much is happening in the city this weekend and here are our top five recommendations.

1. India by the Bay 2024

The annual celebration of Indian arts, culture and heritage returns to the Asia Society Hong Kong Center in Admiralty from November 8-12.

Highlights of the ninth staging of the festival include a talk by the bestselling writer and historian William Dalrymple, who has a new book on the history of Indian culture; Usha Uthup, the Indian queen of pop who sings in 17 Indian and eight international languages; and a programme that fuses classical Indian music with American jazz.

Sneakerheads are in for a treat with the much anticipated release of the Nike x Wu-Tang Clan Dunk, a collaboration that reinforces Nike and the Wu-Tang Clan’s long-standing influence on hip-hop culture.

The new Dunks will be black and pollen in colour and feature the hip-hop group’s W logo embroidered on the tongue and outer heel.

The Nike x Wu-Tang Clan Dunk is available globally from November 9 on Nike’s SNKRS app and at select retail locations.
