YouTube has been rolling out a slew of features to its dedicated music app. The new features include Live Lyrics and the ability to find a song by humming its tune. The Google-owned company is now adding a comments section on the “Now Playing” screen.
YouTube Music “Now Playing” recently got a redesign adding multiple options above the seek bar. The notable update of adding a comments section seems to have been rolled out to a small number of users as only a few members of the Times of India-Gadgets Now team have got it.
The redesign is rolling out to iOS and Android devices.
What is the ‘Comment’ section on YouTube Music
The ‘Comments’ section is among the multiple options – which include “Like”, “Dislike”, “Save”, “Share”, “Download” and “Radio” – available just above the seek bar.
Tapping on the option allows users to read existing comments and write comments directly from the app – just like they can do in the YouTube app. This feature seems to make the experience more engaging for users.
Other changes on YouTube Music
Another change that is being rolled out is that the song/video toggle is now white rather than matching with the background colour of the Now Playing screen.

“We’re introducing a new personalised music discovery feature in YouTube Music that shows viewers samples of new music,” the company said.
