It’s probably not the first vitamin you think of when you consider a healthy diet.
But with so many people focusing on essentials like Vitamin C, Vitamin D or calcium, it’s probably one of the most overlooked supplements on store shelves today.
Magnesium tablets are something everyone should consider adding to their diet as soon as possible – because not only are they cheap – they could literally end up being a lifesaver.
Magnesium is said to have a range of benefits for everything from boosting healthy sleep to regulating blood pressure and keeping a steady heart rhythm. Experts say magnesium has been linked to controlling inflammation.
And inflammation, in turn, has been associated with several major health conditions including certain cancers, heart disease and diabetes.
Low magnesium levels have also been linked to diabetes. The recommended daily magnesium minimum is 315mg per day for women and 410mg per day for men.
Asda stocks magnesium tablets at just £2 for 30 tablets – making them just 6p per day to take, while Tesco offers 50 tablets for £3.65 or 7p per day, but the supplements are available from all major retailers including Superdrug, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Sainsbury’s as well.
