Fremantle midfielder Andrew Brayshaw has kept his promise to a young boy battling a health condition in hospital during his side’s AFL blockbuster with Collingwood on Friday night.
Brayshaw and centre bounce partner in crime Caleb Serong visited a sick youngster in hospital during the week, who made a special request of the two star Dockers players.

The child is a massive footy fan, but also loves his basketball.
So, he asked his heroes, if they were to score a goal against the Magpies, to celebrate with an air basketball shot.
When Brayshaw burst through the 50-metre arc and slotted a running goal during the second quarter on Friday, he didn’t forget the commitment he made to his young mate.
He went straight to Serong and the pair both kept their promises, duly shooting a mock basketball shot into the air.
“There’s nothing braver than a young fella battling in hospital,” Channel 7 commentator James Brayshaw, the uncle of Andrew, said.
“Andrew Brayshaw went and visited this young man during the week in hospital, and the young fella said, ‘When you kick a goal, I want the basketball celebration’.
“That’s what the young bloke watching from hospital was hoping to be able to enjoy.”
Matthew Richardson commended Brayshaw for giving the young kid his special moment.
“How good’s that, for Andy to remember in that moment to do that for the young fella in hospital?” he said.
“That’s just sensational. That is awesome.”
Luke Hodge also noted Serong’s involvement as well.
“And did you see who he did it with? Caleb went up to him and they both did it to each other and they were both in the hospital talking to the kid,” Hodge added.
