Big San Jose manufacturing and industrial project pushes forward

SAN JOSE — A big manufacturing and industrial complex proposed for empty land in San Jose is taking a key step forward.

The project, which could create hundreds of jobs, would be built at 865 Embedded Way, a site that consists of 10.2 acres of land, city planning documents show.

The development plans envision an “industrial manufacturing building” totaling about 121,400 square feet, according to the records on file at San Jose City Hall.

The project site is east of U.S. Highway 101 between the freeway’s interchanges with Hellyer Avenue and Silver Creek Valley Road.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people might work at the complex, but 299 parking spaces are expected to be adjacent to the completed building, the project plans show.
