Fuel discounts rolled out for more than 1.6 million senior NSW motorists

Major savings at the fuel pump are now on offer for more than 1.6 million seniors across the state, as the NSW government adds fuel discounts to the list of NSW Seniors Card and Senior Savers Card benefits.

Senior cardholders will be eligible for the new Discount Fuel Card, which offers savings of 4c per litre at participating United Petroleum service stations.

NSW residents over the age of 60 can become cardholders of the Seniors Card and Senior Savers Card, which have now added fuel to the list of savings available, including energy, insurance, cybersecurity, pet adoption and vet services, and groceries.

“Members then need to show and scan this United fuel discount card at the time of purchase at participating United service stations to save the four cents per litre,” United Petrol head of loyalty Judith Russell said.

Minister for Seniors Jodie Harrison said: “We’re excited to launch the program’s first fuel discount with United Petroleum, an Australian-owned business offering discounts to members at the bowser.”

“This brand-new discount has been added to the wealth of Seniors Card savings to help keep more money in seniors’ pockets and ease price pressure at the pump.”

The NSW Seniors Card and Senior Savers Card have been running for 31 years, and are the largest programs of their kind in the country.
