Leather boots from The Iconic recalled after dodgy heels snap causing injuries

Leather boots by AERE — a brand exclusive to popular online retailer The Iconic — have been recalled over reports of a dodgy heel.

A defect on the heel of the square toe leather ankle boots can lead it to snap, causing ankle or fall injuries, incidents of which have already been reported, the ACCC said.

The boots, sold in a brown, black, and beige leather, were available to purchase internationally on The Iconic between March 5 to August 3, and will display the identifying number: W23AE0021.

“Consumers should stop wearing the boots immediately,” The ACCC said.

“The heels on these boots may snap during wear.

“There is a risk of ankle or fall injuries if the boot heel snaps while in use. Incidents and an associated injury have been reported.”
