LUCA CONNELL PREVIEWS COBBLERS VISIT – News

Luca Connell previewed our Sky Bet League One final day fixture against Northampton Town.

ON SEASON SO FAR

“Every player wants to play as much as they can and play every game in a 46-game season but this season it just hasn’t worked out for me. But, if you’d have had the games from last year and this year together, plus the year before; if you’d have said I’d have played 70 games I would have bit your hand off for it. You’ve got to take the positives from it as well. I just wish I had played more games this season.”

ON INVOLVEMENT ON SATURDAY AND FITNESS

“I definitely don’t know that just yet, I hope so! If he asks if I’m ready to play then yes I’m ready to play. We don’t know that just yet.

“My body feels fine. I had a little niggle on my groin but my health is feeling fine so yeah, I’m all good. I’m ready to go.”

ON TOGETHERNESS

“We need the fans with as much as we can and be the twelth man to get us over the line. I’m sure they’re going to come and be positive to start off with then it’s down to us then to put a performance on our side.”

ON THE OCCASION

“All the lads are on Instagram and we’ve seen that two or three stands are going to be full and I’m sure Northampton will bring a few. These are the games you want to play in. These are the ones where, win or lose, a draw probably isn’t enough so we need to win. We know that and we’re going out to get three points. It’s exciting.”
