IMD forecasts hot & humid days, Odisha declares morning schools from April 2

Lucknow:  The Lucknow district administration has made a significant decision to alter school timings due to the increasing temperatures. The new schedule for all government, aided, and private schools up to Class 12 will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting from Thursday until further notice. This change, as stated by District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar, has been implemented with the students’ best interests in mind.

This adjustment comes after the Uttar Pradesh government modified the timings for schools under the Basic Education Department to also be from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This decision was communicated through an order issued by Special Secretary Yatindra Kumar. By aligning the school timings with the cooler hours of the day, authorities aim to ensure the well-being and comfort of students amidst the rising temperatures.
