Chennai: It was a night to remember for the Chennai Super Kings as they beat Gujarat Titans in all three departments on Tuesday in the IPL 2024 game. Be it their batting, their bowling or their fielding – they were top-notch. Two brilliant catches – one from MS Dhoni and the other from Ajinkya Rahane – stole the show. While both catches drew massive love and praise, former India cricketer Irfan Pathan picked his favourite catch. While this may disappoint Dhoni fans, Irfan went on to claim that the Rahane catch was better according to him.

Both the catches were different in nature. While Rahane had to make ground, run-in and then dive, for Dhoni, he had to stretch and dive. Surely, it is very tough to pick between the two.
Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK picked up their second consecutive win of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League after defeating Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans by 63 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, on March 26. CSK is currently in a captaincy shift as MS Dhoni stepped down as the franchise skipper ahead of IPL 2024 and handed it to young Gaikwad.
“Definitely today’s game was perfect – batting, bowling and fielding, and against a team like Gujarat we needed to come up with a performance like this. In Chennai we are not sure how the wicket will be, we need to do well irrespective of batting or bowling first,” Ruturaj said at the post-match presentation after the win.
