Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini has launched its first beachwear capsule collection, playing with feminine styles as well as sportier options.
The line builds on the direction Lorenzo Serafini has been plying of late, one that balances graphic silhouettes and comfortable stretchy fabrics. Recurring design elements of the brand are seen in the collection, ranging from floral brooches pinned on cutout feminine swimsuits and ruched minidresses in stretch tulle to the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Est. 1984 logo on one-piece swimsuits and unfussy cotton crop tops.
A checkered print splashed on body-con skirts and tops, as well as on accessories like bucket hats and tote bags replete with a removable clutch, was introduced as an optical counterpoint to the pieces in solid black and white.
Prices range from 135 euros for T-shirts to 350 euros for tulle dresses, with swimsuits retailing between 145 euros and 285 euros. The capsule is available at the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini boutique in Rome, the brand’s e-commerce as well as at selection of high-end retailers worldwide.
The beachwear adds to the expanding world of the brand, which is deepening its commitment to other categories in addition to its ready-to-wear. For one, the label most recently heightened the focus on bags, led by its Lauren design spotlighted in a dedicated campaign fronted by Vittoria di Savoia, the young princess of the House of Savoy.
Ditto for footwear, with an ongoing tie-up with Malone Souliers kickstarted during the brand’s spring 2024 runway show last September. The collaboration followed in the footsteps of capsule collections previously developed with the likes of Sebago last year, resort brand Manebí in 2021 and Superga for the spring 2018 season, to name a few.
The brand is part of Aeffe’s portfolio along with labels Alberta Ferretti, Moschino and Pollini. Serafini took over the creative helm in 2014, debuting his vision for the label during Milan Fashion Week in February 2015.
