New Delhi: Mumbai Indians star batter Suryakumar is fit to play and he will feature in the upcoming clash against Delhi Capitals which will be played on April 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Suryakumar, 33, has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury during the tour of South Africa in December 2023. The Mumbai Indians batter went to Munich, Germany for surgery in January.
MI are still looking for their maiden victory in the ongoing Indian Premier League, the franchise is facing a lot of heat from the fans since they have appointed Hardik Pandya as their new captain for the IPL.
“He is fit now. The NCA made him play a few practice games and he looked good. He can join the Mumbai Indians team. We wanted to be sure that when Surya goes back to MI, he is 100 percent fit and ready to play games. He wasn’t feeling 100% during his first fitness Test before the IPL, so we waited to see if there was any pain while he was batting,” the source revealed one cricket.
